The Keeper of the Gears
Every clocktower, every workshop, every mechanical wonder has someone keeping it running — and that someone is usually more interesting than the mechanism itself. Tick Tock the Hunchback is a character miniature that tells a story the moment you see it: a hunched, determined figure in a battered top hat, goggles pushed up on his brow, one hand gripping a lantern and the other holding a wrench, carrying an enormous mechanical pack on his crooked back. He looks like he knows where every gear in the tower is. He looks like he's been there forever.
This is a miniature that works as a villain, an NPC, an encounter, or a player character. Its personality is built into the sculpt.
The Sculpt
Tick Tock is a stocky, hunchbacked figure with a deeply characterful face — wide eyes, strong jaw, and the expression of someone who is either very clever or very mad (possibly both). He wears layered clothing with a heavy belt and straps, and carries a mechanical clockwork pack on his back — a mass of gears, pipes, and mechanisms that suggest he either built it himself or took it from someone who shouldn't have had it.
In his right hand he holds a lantern, casting its fictional light forward. In his left he grips a heavy tool. He moves with purpose despite the hunch — this is not a broken man but a functional, capable one who happens to be shaped differently from others.
The base is a decorative clockwork platform — gears, cogs, and mechanical detail integrated into the ground beneath his feet, reinforcing the steampunk theme throughout the piece.
Material
Cast in high-detail resin — the material of choice for character miniatures where fine surface detail matters. Resin captures the sculpt at a fidelity that plastic cannot match, preserving fine details like the individual gear teeth, the stitching on the clothing, and the expression of the face.
Available in two finishes:
-
Unprimed: Raw resin, ready for your preferred primer and paint scheme.
-
Primed: Professionally primed in grey, ready for immediate painting.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between unprimed and primed?
Unprimed arrives as raw resin — you apply your own primer before painting. Primed arrives with a professional grey primer coat already applied, ready to paint directly.
What scale is it?
28mm tabletop gaming scale.
Does it need assembly?
The miniature may require minor assembly. Resin-compatible glue (cyanoacrylate/superglue) is recommended if pieces need joining.
What paint should I use?
Standard acrylic miniature paints (Citadel, Vallejo, Army Painter, etc.) work well on resin. Wash the miniature in warm soapy water before painting to remove any release agent residue.
Is it safe to handle?
Resin dust is hazardous — avoid sanding without a mask. The finished cast is safe to handle normally.
