Lean, weathered, and built for speed over brute force, the Greyhound Mercenary is the kind of sell-sword who has outrun every debt and outlasted every contract. His low-slung stance and wrapped sword grip say he fights smart — reading a target before committing — and the nicks along his blade say he's done this a thousand times before. Whether guarding a merchant convoy or hired to hunt down a party member's contact, he brings an uneasy energy to the table that players won't ignore.
This is a Medium creature, supplied on a 25mm round base — occupying a single 1-inch grid square, he slots cleanly into any dungeon corridor, city street, or open-field skirmish. Scaled to 28mm heroic scale and fully compatible with Dungeons & Dragons 5e, Pathfinder 1e & 2e, and all major tabletop RPG systems.
What you receive
One professionally produced resin miniature, cleaned and ready for basing and painting. The Greyhound Mercenary is sculpted in a coiled, forward-weighted stance — one hand on the pommel, the other slightly raised for balance — with a travelling cloak swept back behind his sword arm and a crossbow bolt case strapped low on his thigh. The figure arrives in its natural grey resin finish — prime and paint to your own colour scheme. All support marks have been carefully removed. Every figure is inspected before dispatch — any miniature that does not meet our standard is remade, not shipped.
Detail and quality
The Greyhound Mercenary rewards close inspection: his leather armour is a patchwork of replaced panels, with visible stitching along the left shoulder guard and a cracked pauldron that has been lashed back together with cord — small details that tell the story of a man who repairs rather than replaces. His face is angular and gaunt, with deep-set eyes beneath a low brow and a thin scar running from cheekbone to jaw. The sword at his hip is a slightly oversized hand-and-a-half blade, its crossguard simple and functional, the grip wound tight in worn cord that has darkened with use. His boots are tall and close-fitting — built for running — and the sculpt captures a slight forward lean in his torso that makes him look perpetually ready to bolt or lunge.

Compatibility
Compatible with Dungeons & Dragons 5e, Pathfinder 1e & 2e, Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, Age of Sigmar, Frostgrave, and any system using 28–35mm scale figures. The Greyhound Mercenary is ideal as a recurring NPC, a guild contact gone sour, a bounty hunter encounter on the road, or a rival the party keeps crossing paths with throughout a campaign. Base: 25mm round base.
Painting tips
Start with a zenithal prime — black from below, white from above — to lock in the shadows already built into his layered leather armour. For the leatherwork, Vallejo Leather Brown as a base with a heavy wash of Citadel Agrax Earthshade, then edge highlights of Vallejo Tan Yellow on the raised stitching, gives a convincingly worn field look. The cloak responds beautifully to a Citadel Contrast paint like Skeleton Horde or Snakebite Leather thinned slightly with medium — let it pool in the folds for instant depth. His sword blade suits a non-metallic metal approach: Vallejo Cold Grey blended up to White Grey along the edge, with a thin line of pure white at the very tip to sell the sharpness. Pick out the cord wrapping on the grip in Citadel Rhinox Hide highlighted with Doombull Brown, and give the cracked pauldron a drybrush of Vallejo Model Air Dark Sea Grey to suggest the original armour colour showing through the grime.
Care
Resin miniatures are more brittle than plastic — handle with care, particularly on thin parts such as the sword blade tip, the crossbow bolt case strap, and the fingers of the raised hand. Store away from direct sunlight. Super glue bonds resin effectively if a part breaks.
Primed or unprimed?
This miniature is available in two options. Unprimed arrives in its natural grey resin finish — apply your own spray or brush-on primer before painting for maximum adhesion, which is the preferred approach of most experienced painters and gives you full control over primer colour and texture. Primed arrives pre-primed in a smooth flat grey, saving you a step and ready for base coats straight from the box. Both options are produced fresh to your order and ship from Ballarat, Victoria, Australia within 5–7 business days. Select your preference above.
Supplied unpainted. Images show the design and sculpt. Painted examples are for reference only.
