The Fantasy Work Desks Set delivers two of them — ornate, highly detailed fantasy writing and work desks that bring immediate life and narrative to any indoor tabletop scene. Covered in books, stacked papers, a quill pen and inkwell, and the organised clutter of someone who deals in information, influence, or both, these desks are the kind of terrain that makes players think: who sits here, and what do they know?

This is essential scatter terrain for any RPG campaign that involves investigation, politics, intrigue, or simply the need to search a room thoroughly.

What's in the Set

The set includes two ornate writing desks of different styles. Each desk features:

Multiple drawers on the lower section — the kind of drawers players will immediately want to search

An upper hutch or shelf section with books, stacked papers, and bound documents

Detailed desktop surface covered in open books, loose papers, a quill pen in an inkwell, and the general organised chaos of a working desk

Carved decorative trim and scroll-work on the legs and frame

The two desks are distinct from each other — different hutch configurations, different drawer arrangements, different desktop compositions — ensuring variety when both are placed in the same scene.

Material & Finish

Printed in matte grey, the only finish available. The matte finish gives the woodwork a natural, aged quality and allows the surface detail — book spines, paper stacks, inkwell, quill — to read clearly without over-emphasis. Unpainted, the desks work well in most indoor tabletop scenes.

For painters, the desks reward attention to detail. The wood grain on the desk body suits a dark brown basecoat with tan dry-brushing. Books can be picked out in various colours. The quill and inkwell are ideal small detail targets for painters who enjoy fine work. A dark wash over the whole piece before highlighting pulls everything together quickly.

Scale & Compatibility

Designed for 28mm scale tabletop gaming.
